The Basics
Hi! I am Sue McHugh.
I will be your child's first grade teacher this year. Did you know this will be my 17th year at PRS? I taught kindergarten for many years and thought that was for the place for me until I moved to first grade. First is where I want to be! I am looking forward to the BEST year yet!
My Childhood
I grew up in the Crow Point neighborhood of Hingham in the house my dad built for our family. I enjoyed swimming and sailing lessons at North Beach. These are still two of my favorite activities.
Education
I graduated with honors from Framingham State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Many years later, when two of my sons were in college I went back to earn my Masters Education in Early Childhood from American International College. I consider myself a life- long learner. Over the past 8 years I have completed 54 additional credits in technology, math, and literacy.
Family
My husband Frank and I are blessed to have three, wonderful sons, two kind and caring daughter-in-laws and two spunky little grandson; Ryan (35) and Samantha, Matthew (11),
Jason (8), Matt (33) and Jackie, and Joe (32). We are Boston sports fans (the Red Sox are my favorite Boston team). We enjoy traveling and have passed the travel bug along to
all three sons who love a good adventure too!
